All rides for the 2008 River Region Classic will start & stop at Garner State Park, which is located in Concan, Texas, just north of Uvalde.

Directions from the Garner State Park Web site state that "the park is located in Uvalde County, 31 miles north of the town of Uvalde, 9 miles south of Leakey, or 8 miles north of Concan on the Frio River. From US Highway 83, turn east on FM 1050 for .2 miles to Park Road 29 to the new entrance." The ride start takes place 1.5 miles off the main road, inside of Garner State Park.

Because of the terrain in this remote region, it is important to note that the only available cellular telephone coverage for the 2006 RRC was from Cingular/AT&T. Even then, coverage was not 100% spot-on.
